With its strong retail and restaurant mix, Wilton Mall is the premier shopping destination for the growing Saratoga County - Lake George region of upstate New York. The enclosed regional mall enjoys excellent north/south access from Interstate 87 (the major north/south thoroughfare for all of eastern New York), as well as east/west traffic from its position along State Route 50. The property draws shoppers from the surrounding communities from as far away as 19 miles including Glen Falls and Clifton Park. Route 50, meanwhile, provides easy access to historic Saratoga Springs. Saratoga County is one of the fastest growing areas in New York State. The quality of life has made this the quintessential bedroom community of the Albany market. The Wilton Mall corridor is positioned as the Northern retail hub of the Albany region. Just a few of the latest tenants added to the Wilton corridor are Barnes and Noble, Best Buy, Bed Bath & Beyond, Target and Panera Bread. The picturesque Saratoga Springs area is renowned for the historic Saratoga Racetrack, mineral bath spas, Performing Arts Center, museums and fine dining options—all of which lure well-heeled tourists. Recognized as one of the nation’s most prestigious thoroughbred venues, the track alone attracts approximately 1 million visitors during its six-week season. As the summer residence of the NYC Ballet and Philadelphia Orchestra, the arts center draws some 500,000 patrons throughout the summer. The Lake George and Adirondack area attracts vacationers from the entire Northeast.
The mall caters to this market with a mix in which its three department store anchors are joined by a Regal multiplex, Dick’s Sporting Goods and such prominent specialty retailers as American Eagle, Abercrombie & Fitch, H&M, Old Navy, Gymboree, Aeropostale and Christopher & Banks. The recent expansion and relocation of JCPenney (August 2007) will provide the opportunity to redevelop the former location into new and exciting retail and restaurant experiences.
